Hypnobirthing in Berkhamsted

Welcome to Together Birthing and congratulations on your pregnancy. If you are looking for hypnobirthing in Berkhamsted or hypnobirthing in Hertfordshire, you have come to the right place! My name is Emma. I am a Hypnobirthing mum and Hypnobirthing practitioner having trained with the Hypnobirthing Institute and more recently with Hypnobirthing by Jenny Mullan accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I teach hypnobirthing classes which provide a complete childbirth education programme to fully prepare you and your birth partner for your baby’s birth. As a hypnobirthing mum myself, I know first-hand just what a huge difference hypnobirthing techniques can make to the birthing experience and I have a passion for sharing the marvel of hypnobirthing with other parents-to-be.

Hypnobirthing in berkhamstedHypnobirthing Classes in Berkhamsted

The breathing, fear release, visualisation and deep relaxation techniques that you learn on the course, together with the emotional release therapy, fully prepares you for a calmer, easier birthing experience. You will also learn how the body functions during birth, the birthing environment and the birth companion’s role.

I teach hypnobirthing classes in the evenings or at the weekend. The group hypnobirthing classes that I teach consist of four 2.5 hour classes or 2-day classes held at my home studio in the village of Potten End, just 5 minutes drive from Berkhamsted (see location). The studio is located in a peaceful garden setting next to the woods. The group course is a great opportunity for you to meet other parents-to-be and ask questions in a relaxed and friendly environment.

I also teach private hypnobirthing classes for people who require more flexibility on class timings or just prefer more one-on-one teaching.

Finally, I also offer 2 hour refresher/revision classes from my home studio in Potten End (see location), for those who have done hypnobirthing before but need a refresher class. These classes are tailored to your specific needs.

Birth Choices in Berkhamsted

When it comes to your actual birth, there are several choices in terms of your birthing environment. Having a home birth can help with relaxation during labour and birth by enabling you to have privacy and a peaceful environment. HypnoBirthing often gives couples the confidence to opt for a home birth. Alternatively, if you live in Berkhamsted, there are two choices of hospital which are both approximately 20 minutes drive away, in Watford, Hertfordshire and Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. Both of these hospitals have birth centres attached to them if you are low risk and prefer a slightly less clinical environment, or in the case of Watford, you would like a water birth (not available on the Watford labour ward). You can contact the hospitals direct to find out more or book a tour, by clicking on the links below. You will need to advise your midwife which hospital you have decided on.

Also good for treatment of problems after birth such a painful nipples, painful wounds and emotional symptoms such as ‘baby blues’ and post natal depression and for babies there are treatments for all kinds of problems such as teething and nappy rash. It is strongly recommended that you maintain your relationship with your GP, midwife and other healthcare professionals you are currently working with.
