Hypnobirthing in Bedfordshire

Welcome to Together Birthing and congratulations on your pregnancy! My name is Emma. If you are looking for hypnobirthing in Bedfordshire, you have come to the right place. I teach hypnobirthing classes to help you and your birth companion have a more positive and empowering birth experience. I gave birth to my second child with the benefit of hypnobirthing and felt so inspired by the experience I decided to become a HypnoBirthing Practitioner. I trained with the HypnoBirthing Institute and more recently with Hypnobirthing by Jenny Mullan accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I love helping other parents-to-be prepare for a calmer, easier birth, without fear. It’s with this enthusiasm and pleasure that I am offering hypnobirthing classes in the Bedfordshire area, so that you too can learn the techniques you need to make birth a more positive and manageable experience, even if you have previously had a difficult birth.

Hypnobirthing Classes

I offer four different types of hypnobirthing course to help you enjoy an easier, calmer birth:-

  1. 4 x 2.5 hour or 2-day group hypnobirthing classes from my home studio in Potten End, Hertfordshire (see location).
  2. 4 x 2.5 hour or 2-day private hypnobirthing classes from my home studio in Potten End, Hertfordshire (see location).
  3. 2 hour refresher/intensive courses from my home studio in Potten End, Hertfordshire (see location).

I offer a combination of online and in-person teaching, so that your location and schedule does not have to restrict you from learning the hypnobirthing skills that you need.

The classes include scientifically proven fear release techniques, breathing and deep relaxation techniques as well as information on how the body works during labour and birth, the birth environment and the birth companion’s role. You will also benefit from exercise and nutritional advice to prepare your body for birth.

Birth Choices in Bedfordshire

Women regularly use HypnoBirthing to deliver their child in the comfort of their own home, preferring the relaxed familiar surroundings. Some parents, however, do prefer to go to a hospital and may have to for medical reasons. The Luton and Dunstable or Milton Keynes hospitals both offer maternity services. Luton and Dunstable hospital is conveniently located in Dunstable and offers a birth centre environment as well as a labour ward. The birth centre is entirely run by midwives for women who are considered low risk. The environment is less medical than the labour ward and has a ‘home from home’ feel, with an emphasis on natural birth. A birth pool is usually available on the labour ward and the birth centre at the Luton & Dunstable hospital. Speak to your midwife for more information or book a tour.

Luton & Dunstable Hospital – 01582 491166 (main switchboard – ask for maternity)

Milton Keynes University Hospital – 01908 660033 (main switchboard – ask for maternity)
