Hypnobirthing in Hertfordshire

Welcome to Together Birthing and congratulations on your pregnancy. If you are looking for hypnobirthing in Hertfordshire, you have come to the right place! My name is Emma, I am a Hypnobirthing Mum and Hypnobirthing Practitioner. I’m thrilled to be able to offer you hypnobirthing classes in Hertfordshire. Having experienced a difficult birth first time around, I did hypnobirthing in preparation for the arrival of my second son and went on to have an amazing and empowering birth experience. It is this personal experience that gave me my passion for helping other mums-to-be achieve a state of deep relaxation during labour, in turn maintaining control during birth and enabling an easier and calmer experience.

Hypnobirthing is a great option for first time mums, as well as those that have previously experienced difficult labours. Hypnobirthing focuses on relaxing the mother and giving partners the confidence to play an active role in the birthing experience, should they wish to do so.Happy father kissing his pregnant lover's belly

I am based in the picturesque village of Potten End, near Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire – see location. I teach hypnobirthing classes from my home studio in Potten End, which is located in a tranquil garden setting next to the woods.

Hypnobirthing helps to fully prepare you for birth and will ease the anxieties that you may have as a first time mum, or if you have had a previous difficult experience. Even if you have a busy schedule, hypnobirthing is still a realistic and achievable goal for your baby’s birth and will help you to relax during your pregnancy journey.

Hypnobirthing Classes in Hertfordshire

The classes that I teach include deep relaxation, breathing, visualisation and fear release techniques to help you have an easier and more empowering birthing experience. The classes also include emotional release therapy, practical advice about nutrition, exercise, how the body functions during birth, the birth environment and the birth companion’s role. I offer four different types of hypnobirthing courses:

  1. Group 4 x 2.5 hour or 2-day hypnobirthing classes (see location) – small friendly group sizes of up to 4 couples and a chance to make friends with like-minded mums and dads-to-be.
  2. Private hypnobirthing classes (see location) held at times that fit in with you.
  3. 2 hour revision/refresher courses (see location) if you have down hypnobirthing before and need a class tailored to your needs.

Birth Choices in Hertfordshire

Hypnobirthing can give partners the confidence and skills if they decide to have a home birth, which has many benefits such as privacy and the comfort of the home environment. For medical reasons, or personal preferences, if you’d prefer to go to a hospital, you can travel to Watford General Hospital where there is a midwifery led birthing centre attached to the hospital, located in the town centre with plenty of adjacent parking space. You can book a tour of the maternity unit before the big day, giving you an idea of what to expect in advance. The centre caters for natural births as well as offering high quality water birthing facilities, making it the perfect choice for expectant parents that are hoping to use hypnobirthing techniques during a drug-free birth.
