My name is Emma. I am a Hypnobirthing mum and Hypnobirthing practitioner, trained with the Hypnobirthing Institute and more recently with Hypnobirthing by Jenny Mullan, accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I have a passion for sharing the marvel of hypnobirthing having experienced it first hand myself and knowing the difference it can make to the birthing experience.

Hypnobirthing Classes

I teach group 2-day and 4-week hypnobirthing classes from my home studio in the village of Potten End, about 20 minutes drive from St Albans (see location). The classes run for 2.5 hours in the evenings or from 10 am – 4 pm at the weekend. The sessions are small and friendly with up to 4 couples per class with plenty of scope for questions and discussion. The studio is located in a tranquil garden setting adjacent to the woods.

Alternatively, I offer a private hypnobirthing classes at times convenient for you.

The course is a full birth preparation programme which includes emotional release techniques, breathing, visualisation and deep relaxation techniques to prepare you and your partner for an easier and calmer labour and birth. Hypnobirthing gives you the confidence to trust in your own natural birthing instincts and release any fear you might be holding about birth through fear release techniques. You will also learn how the body functions during birth, the birth environment, the birth companion’s role, nutritional advice and exercises to prepare your body for birth.

Finally, I also offer 2 hour refresher/revision classes from my home studio in Potten End (see location), for those who have done hypnobirthing before but need a refresher class. These classes are tailored to your specific needs.
